BiographyNolan Petote holds Master's and Advanced Music Studies Degrees in music performance from Carnegie Mellon University. While at Carnegie Mellon, Nolan was a member of the National Music Honor Society Pi Kappa Lambda, Theta Xi chapter. He is also a 2012 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor's Degree in music performance. While at Duquesne, he was a winner of the 2010 Duquesne University Symphony Concerto Competition and 2012 Charles Bruno Wind Symphony Concerto Competition. He is also a scholarship winner of the 2008 Blackwood Theater Organ Society, 2012 Tuesday Musical Club.
Nolan has substituted numerous times with the Orchestras of Charleston (SC), South Florida, Albany (NY), Wheeling, Westmoreland, and Johnstown. He is the woodwind coordinator for the Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra, director of the Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra Concert Winds Band, an active chamber musician with the Bel Suono Ensemble, and freelance musicians. Nolan maintains a large private teaching studio at two in person Pittsburgh locations and through online instruction.
